FAQ

What is Naturopathic medicine ?

Naturopathic medicine utilizes almost all natural medicines including herbal medicine, homeopathy and natural supplements.

what do naturopathic doctors do ?

We diagnose and treat using a holistic approach with patients. We follow the therapeutic order which is addressing areas of health in a systematic way that mirrors a more natural approach.

How is a Naturopathic (ND) Doctor different than a traditional MD ?

We both graduate from a 4-year medicine school. We both take 2 years of the same didactic training. Anatomy, physiology, diagnosis pharmaceuticals. BUT we learn herbs, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine in addition to traditional medical academics.

Can you explain your detox program ?

In a patient who needs support undergoing a detox program, I am here to offer guidance, counseling and support. You will be given your own custom program that fits to your needs. You will get bi-weekly check-ins as part of the program. You cannot have a severe disease and I will have to visit with you in person before we can begin. There is a separate cost to this program.

How much do you charge for a visit ?

I will review your medical input and determine how long of a consult is needed. A typical consult  is $175.00. This includes a face to face visit utilizing VSee software (similar to skype), time for any questions you have and a dynamic treatment plan. Any recommended medications or supplements will be separate cost to you. I strive to get the best cost for my patients.

what is homeopathy ?

Homeopathy is the medicine of “like cures like”. Meaning: what symptoms one substance causes in a healthy person, that same substance (in a very small amount) will cure the sick patient with those same symptoms .In other words, you can be prescribed a very small amount of a medicine which can have very profound and altering results in the body. Please see link for a 40 minute information session, by me, for more detailed information.

Can you explain Telemedicine ?

Telemedicine is a fast-growing field of medical technology. Now, patients can see doctors easily, from the comfort of their home as long as they have internet access and a webcam. Most phones and computers now come with a built-in camera. We will be able to just speak over the phone, as well.

Can you prescribe medications ?

I can prescribe prescription medications if you live in Arizona and I can recommend all or most supplements (hormone supplements, included) if you live elsewhere. These can be shipped to you all over the country.

Are you on-call ?

If you are an established patient with me, I can be available to you within 24 hours. If you are not an established patient, please fill out the brief medical intake form and we can talk soon.

Are you available for an office visit ?

I have an office in Cottonwood, Arizona and I regularly travel through Arizona if you are interested in a home visit.

What is involved in the 45 minute consult ?

After reviewing your brief medical intake, we can setup a 45-minute consult. You will be emailed a series of medical intake questions, you will be given an opportunity to have labs and other medical information sent to me. After reviewing your information, we can have a Vsee visit, and we can come up with the best treatment plan for you.

Do you take insurance?

No, at this time, I am not accepting any insurance. But the State of Arizona is moving closer to this.
